Overview

When users try to access a closed-door room, they will get the following notification:

Sorry, you are not allowed to enter <room> because the door is closed

To enter the room, they need to knock to the door first. Users can also knock if the room doors are not closed, to be polite.

This article lists the steps to Knock on doors in order to be allowed to enter that room.

Solution

You can knock to a room at any time, even if the doors are open. But if the doors are closed, the only way to enter a room is to knock first.

1. Right-click on the Room label or Room area where the person or people you want to interact with are located.
2. Click on the Knock on [room name] option.
   
3. Once you knock, all members in the room will see the notification in the lower-left corner of the map, and they will be able to grant you permission to enter.
   
   
   Note: The Knock notifications remain visible for 5 minutes; then, if unanswered, they expire. A badge is added to the room chat along with an activity time-stamped messages.
   

Testing

Once user is allowed to enter, the avatar will be automatically moved into the new room.
